HOW WE EXPOSED ‘BREAKING THE SILENCE’.
The report, which was aired on Channel 2, was supposed to be part of a series of reports on the “Uvda” (Fact) program. While preparing the program, 'Uvda' researchers presented the footage to the Breaking the Silence organization members to receive a response about the disturbing materials witnessed in our undercover documentation. The heads of the organization were deeply shocked. When they saw the materials and realized that a report about the organization would be made public, Breaking the Silence issued a "media announcement" and claimed they had uncovered a spy from the "Ad Kan" organization. Of course, this outrageous and ridiculous claim does not stand the test of reality. The associates of 'Uvda' that showed them the materials worked in cooperation with us. Moreover, our researchers were so deeply planted within the organization that they even reached the point where they gave 'Breaking the Silence' tours in Hebron and were never exposed.
In the end, of course, the report was published, causing a public uproar to which dozens of Knesset members and members of the media reacted with strong condemnation of the conduct of Breaking the Silence. Since that report, the organization has invested most of its efforts into discrediting Israel in the international arena, because in Israel their goal was exposed as not to protect human rights but to change the face of the State of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state.
