Demand for Transparency and Transfer of Information to the Palestinian Authority. The Palestinian organizations supported by the fund, are compelled to act with complete transparency with them and with the Palestinian Authority, including estimating and monitoring new and existing projects. This raises a question: Are the Israeli organizations also committed to acting with transparency and relating all information to the Palestinian Authority? One must remember that one of the organizations is “Shovrim Shtika” (Breaking the Silence). In the past, it was exposed that they had collected testimonies from IDF soldiers regarding their military service and gathered information about the IDF’s activities. How can an organization such as this one, be able to accept extensive funding from the Palestinian Authority that poses as a condition for funding the compulsory transfer of information to the Palestinian Authority? Apparently, due to this, information that IDF soldiers give, regarding security, can fall into hostile hands and threaten to harm Israel’s security. |
